Mighty Swim

I am a certified Survival Swim Development Network swim instructor, and I am trained in infant, child, and adult BLS/CPR/AED by the American Red Cross. I have worked for many years with children of all ages, including children with special needs.

As a mother of two active children, I understand firsthand the stress and worry that can come with having little ones around a pool or open water. For years, my kids were in different kinds of swim schools where they made very little progress. When my family moved to Kingwood in 2020, I discovered survival swim. After witnessing the profound impact survival swim instruction had on my children, I recognized the critical importance of this job in my community.

Before relocating to Kingwood, I spent a decade working in dental hygiene. My focus was pediatric patients, children with special needs and adults with dental fears and anxieties. I found fulfillment in helping patients overcome their fears and discomfort. I hope to bring that same approach to teaching survival swim. Every child is unique and requires personalized and gentle instruction. My goal is to have every child leave with the skills needed in the water while ensuring they never lose their sense of fun that comes with playing safely in the water. Seeing a parent gain confidence in their child’s water skills is a great reward. Your little human really is mighty!
