Manta Swim Academy
Our goal is to bring water awareness and safe practices to our students with a mission to preserve the lives of as many young children and adults as possible.
Our desire is to educate the community from 6 months to 100 years of age about the importance of water safety and the benefits of an aquatic lifestyle.
Our focus is to provide an environment that promotes safe swimming which requires knowledge of safety practices, breathing techniques, and proper use of one’s muscular structure.
Our aim is to share and educate Manta’s knowledge and respect for the water with the community.
Whether you have an infant that needs Survival Swim Lessons or an adult that never learned to swim, we are here to help our students feel comfortable and confident in the water.

We are so thankful for Mr. Alex. He is by far the best coach for our child. Amir has ADHD and Mr. Alex was patient, and firm, but kept him on task. Amir will be trying out for the swim team this summer and he is so excited. He went from being afraid to put his face in the water to try out for the swim team. We owe this all to Mr. Alex.

“My son is 1 year old and I put him in the Survival Swim. I was excited to get him started and Ms. Shawna had him floating within 3 days. I was shocked. We are so excited to see how far he gets within the 5 weeks and in the future.”

“Hi Shawna! Wanted to let you know that the kids made the swim team! The kids have done so well and learned so much! Thank you “

“My son was only 6 months old when he started swimming with Ms. Shawna. He is now 18 months old and can swim the length of the pool. We are amazed and so thankful that we put him in the Survival Swim program. I was definitely a nervous parent and my husband didn’t want to spend the money, but we agreed that it was a necessary investment and we are so very thankful that we did.”

“Coach Shawna is extraordinarily patient with not only the children but the parents. I was extremely skeptical about enrolling my 7month old son and Coach Shawna was extremely kind and understanding! She taught Elias to float on his back for just three weeks! We will be booking her again!”
