My name is Lindsey Nielsen, proud owner and operator of Tiny Fins Survival Swim TX. I am located in Corpus Christi, Texas. I completed my SSDN training in 2023 at Survival Swim Corpus Christ with Amy Borden.

Being born and raised in Corpus Christi and living along the coast I learned to swim at a very young age. No matter if we were on the boat cruising the canals, in the pool, at the lake or on a vacation floating the river, we were always near water regularly.

I graduated from Sam Houston State University in December of 2020 with my teaching degree. I have always had a love for children of all ages and knew I wanted to make an impact in children’s lives. I went through my student teaching right during the heat of COVID times and quickly found out the classroom setting just wasn’t for me. Fast forward 3 years later, a very close family friend (all four of her kids went through survival swim) recommended to me becoming a survival swim instructor. With having a love for children, water and the outdoors I was able to put them all together and here I am loving my career.

I am very passionate about toddlers and young children being safe around any body of water. I strive to educate parents as well as the general public the importance of survival swim. Most are not aware that drowning is the leading cause of death in children 4 and under. As an instructor this is my opportunity to make that difference, to help prevent childhood drowning.
